In this role, you will:
Oversee the delivery of key tax engagements including corporate reorganizations, intergenerational business transitions, estate planning, and buy/sell transaction support.
Provide trusted advice to business owners and clients, translating complex tax matters into clear, practical recommendations.
Manage workflow, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables and proactively identifying/resolving project obstacles.
Mentor and review the work of junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge-sharing across the team.
Act as a primary liaison with external advisors such as legal and wealth management professionals.
Represent the firm with professionalism and integrity.
Contribute to business development by identifying new client opportunities and expanding your professional network within the legal, financial, and business communities.
Expertise and Qualifications:
CPA designation and 4–7 years of tax experience in public accounting (preferably with a focus on Canadian private clients).
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business; enrolment in or completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Course is an asset.
Demonstrated experience with corporate reorganizations (including Section 55 and safe income calculations), estate planning, and tax advisory for owner-managed businesses.
Proficient in CCH iFirm, CaseWare, tax research platforms (Taxnet Pro, BlueJ, Canadian Tax Foundation), and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for both client and professional interactions.
Highly organized, proactive, and collaborative approach; strong project management skills with a commitment to professional excellence.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary range of $90,000–$140,000 based on skills and experience.
Annual discretionary bonus (based on individual and firm performance).
Hybrid work model with the expectation of 3–4 in-office days per month for meetings, training, and firm events.
